Help when you need it
Questions, answered.
Practical steps for imports, purchases, reminders and the information you keep in No Cheat Day.
Paid, but no plan?
Keep the app installed. Check My plans for an unfinished draft or pending purchase. Try the existing purchase only if that option is shown, and contact support before paying again.
Read the recovery steps ↓Purchases & missing plans
I paid, but my plan is missing. What should I do?
- Keep the app installed. Reconnect to the internet and reopen it.
- Check the welcome screen and Settings → My plans for Waiting to finish or a pending paid import.
- If shown, choose Retry existing purchase. Resume the saved draft if processing has already finished.
- If the app says the purchase was already redeemed, the result expired, or no recovery action is available, contact support before buying again.
Backend redelivery is limited to 24 hours after completion. It is not a permanent backup, and a result may require support after that window. Older iOS builds and the current Android implementation may not show all recovery controls.
The screen is stuck on “Building your plan” or “Reading your plan”.
Processing can take several minutes. Keep a stable connection and allow time for it to finish. If you left the app, reopen it and check for the saved draft or pending purchase. Do not repeatedly start new imports, clear app storage or delete the app. If it remains stuck, note the exact message and contact support with the time and purchase reference.
Can I lock my phone or switch apps while it processes?
The iOS recovery implementation is designed to reconnect to pending work when you return and save completed paid results. Network conditions, operating-system interruptions and the result-expiry window still matter. For a first import, keeping the app open until the review screen appears is the easiest way to confirm delivery. If you return to Welcome, follow the missing-plan steps above.
It says my purchase was already used. Should I buy again?
No: contact support first if you never received or saved the result. A redeemed purchase means the backend recorded a completed run; it does not prove you still have a local copy. The generated result may no longer be available for automatic redelivery. Support will need the platform, approximate time, feature and purchase/order reference.
My document was rejected. Was the payment refunded?
Rejection does not automatically mean a store refund occurred. The backend releases an unsuccessful processing claim so the same purchase can be retried where supported. Some app versions may describe this imprecisely as “not charged.” Check your store purchase record and contact support before repurchasing. Apple or Google controls any refund under its policies.
What is free, and what do I pay for?
Manual plan creation and editing, daily logging, reminders and local reports are free. AI document processing is charged per run, and AI analysis is a separate purchase per run. There is no app subscription. Check the final price and currency on the Apple purchase sheet; explanatory screens may show a US-dollar reference price.
The purchase sheet will not open, or payment is pending.
Check your connection, Apple account, purchase restrictions and Screen Time settings. If Apple requires approval, payment verification or account action, complete that with Apple. A pending purchase is not a finished purchase; avoid starting another while its status is unclear. For App Store payment issues, use Apple support. No Cheat Day support never needs your Apple password or card details.
Documents & plan editing
Which documents work best?
Use a readable PDF, .docx Word document or .xlsx spreadsheet containing a nutrition plan. A clear text-based PDF is preferable to a scan. PDFs must be within the backend’s 5 MB limit. Remove password protection and download cloud-only files before selection. If extraction fails, ask for the original Word file or a new readable PDF rather than repeatedly purchasing imports.
The AI missed a meal, portion or time. Can I correct it?
Yes. Use the review screen before saving, or edit the saved plan. Check titles, times, recurrence, instructions, options, portions and recipes against your original. Do not guess supplement instructions or other health-sensitive details; ask the professional who supplied the plan. AI-generated content is not medical advice.
Can I build a plan without uploading anything?
Yes. Choose Create a plan manually in Settings → My plans. Add steps, options and instructions yourself. This is free and does not invoke cloud AI. Complete and save your manual plan before leaving: manual editing does not currently have the same persistent draft protection as imported paid plans.
Where is a plan I imported but never finished reviewing?
Look for Waiting to finish in My plans or the welcome screen, depending on your app version. Open the draft and finish the review. Do not delete that draft to restart: it is your stored processed result, and deletion is not a refund.
Tracking, reminders & reports
My reminders are not arriving.
Check that the correct plan is active and that the step has a reminder time, enabled reminder and appropriate recurrence. Then check iPhone Settings → Notifications → No Cheat Day, Focus, notification summaries and sound settings. A Sunday-only task should not alert every day. Device settings can delay or suppress reminders; the app is not suitable for time-critical medication alerts.
A reminder or late-night entry seems to belong to the wrong day.
Plans can continue across midnight, so the plan day may differ from the calendar date. Check Today, History and the active plan before editing the entry. Avoid using an old notification after switching plans; open the step in the app instead. If the dates still disagree, capture the screen and contact support with the step time and active-plan name.
Why did an older chart change after I edited the plan?
Some historical calculations use the current plan structure and goals. Changing or removing steps, changing the water goal, or editing logs can therefore change earlier charts. Export important reports before substantial edits. A saved AI narrative is not regenerated automatically when its underlying logs change.
Does AI analysis change my diet or replace my nutritionist?
No. It describes the selected logs and patterns; it does not prescribe a new plan. It is optional, requires a separate purchase and supports a window of up to 60 days. Check its covered dates, any truncation notice and its statements against your records before relying on or sharing it.
How do I send a report, and can I restore the app from it?
Open the report/export option in Settings, choose the period, preview the report and use the share sheet. CSV provides tabular records. Neither format can restore the app’s database, drafts or photo library. Check whether an included AI analysis covers the same period as the report.
Can I use larger text?
Yes. Adjust iPhone Text Size or Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text. Larger text can move controls below the visible area, so scroll through forms and reviews. If a control remains clipped or unreachable, send support the screen and your text-size setting.
Privacy, storage & support
Does it work offline?
Saved plans, manual editing and everyday logging are local features. New cloud AI processing and store purchases need connectivity. Recipe links and other external websites also need a connection. A generated result must reach and be saved by your phone before you can rely on having it offline.
What leaves my phone?
Confirmed AI imports send the selected document or extracted text; paid analyses send the chosen logs and plan context. Dedicated weight fields and activity photos are excluded from analysis, but sensitive details written in submitted documents or notes are not automatically removed. Generated results are cached for recovery. Read the full privacy policy for providers and retention.
Will my plans return after reinstalling or changing phones?
There is no No Cheat Day account-based restore or permanent online plan library. iOS device backups may include app data, depending on your settings. Android excludes cloud backup and permits some device-to-device transfers. Restoration is not guaranteed. A store purchase history is not a backup of a consumed plan or report. Keep the app installed while a purchase is unresolved.
Does deleting a plan remove everything associated with it?
It removes the plan, its daily logs and activity-photo directory. Saved AI analyses and original imported-document copies are not all removed by that action in the current apps. Storage settings offer additional cleanup. Exported copies, phone backups and provider/backend records are separate; contact support for requests about retained backend information.
What should I include when contacting support?
Email anand@nocheatday.com with your platform, app version/build, phone model, approximate time, steps you took and exact error message. For a paid run, include the store purchase/order reference if available. A screenshot with private details hidden can help. Do not send passwords, card details or a full health document unless specifically needed and requested.
